The Community Foundation for MetroWest is the fiscal agent for the MetroWest ESL Fund. This fund was created in 1999 by area business leaders to address the overwhelming demand for free adult English classes at Framingham Adult ESL Plus (FAESL+).
Since 1984, FAESL+ has helped students to develop the academic skills necessary to meet their economic and educational goals. In addition to English classes, the program offers a wide range of opportunities for every student, including classes in citizenship, adult basic education, and high school equivalency. All our classes are offered free of charge, and advising is available whenever class is in session.
We strongly believe that by supporting organizations that give our community members the opportunity to learn English, our entire community reaps numerous benefits. Students become more productive employees, are able to start their own businesses, and get more involved in the community.
